Job Description Reporting to the Head of Customer Strategy and Analytics, the Data lead will be responsible for designing and providing access to accurate and appropriately structured data to facilitate key business decisions. Data is key to the successful running of our business, to understand how our customers are behaving and to react quickly to any trends. The Data lead will sit in the engine room of our Commercial Team, creating data sources for our analysts to report on and derive insights.
This is initially an individual contributor role, with the opportunity to build out your own team as you see fit in the future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design of a data structure to aid both reporting and data for our analysts to report on and derive insights
- Work closely with the Commercial Team to ensure data is accessible and accurate
- ETL data from our data warehouse into digestible formats for all parts of the business
- Integration of different datasets across the business to allow links to be made at a customer and activity level e.g. Google Analytics, Zendesk, S3
- Write LookML code to assist our Looker Analyst create intuitive dashboards
- Embed a self serve capability and way of working into the business
- Responsible for data accuracy to facilitate key business decisions including documentation and dictionary of definitions
- Enable automation of day to day activities e.g. campaign selection activity to ensure no duplication across departments, over-contacting, with GDPR restrictions and appropriately designed analytical measurement
- Work with cloud based data tools like Stitch data, Fivetran
- Work closely with Infrastructure and Engineering team to optimise data
Requirements
- At least three years’ experience in a data role
- ETL knowledge and experience is a must
- Advanced SQL and Python
- Understanding of BI Tools, specifically Looker/LookML
- Redshift / Snowflake experience
- Data cleansing experience
